Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following academic positions in Anchor University:
- Department of Political Science and International Relations:
- Senior Lecturer
- Lecturer I
- Lecturer II
- Assistant Lecturer
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
(i) SENIOR LECTURER (ANUCASS 5): Prospective candidates for this post should possess a good first degree, second degree, and a doctorate in Political Science, International Relations, or in a relevant field from a recognised University with at least three (3) years of teaching and research experience since becoming a Lecturer I in a recognised University or comparable institution of higher learning. Candidates must have scholarly publications in reputable and high-impact journals published locally and internationally. In addition, candidates must show evidence of ability to supervise post-graduate students in the areas of expertise.
(ii) LECTURER I ((ANUCASS 4)): Prospective candidates for this post should possess a good first degree, second degree, and a doctorate in Political Science, International Relations, or in a relevant field from a recognised University with at least three (3) years of teaching and research experience since becoming a Lecturer II in a recognised University or comparable institution of higher learning. Candidates must have scholarly publications in reputable and high-impact journals published locally and internationally. Ability to supervise post-graduate students in the areas of expertise are essential.
(iii) LECTURER II (ANUCASS 3): Prospective candidates for this post should possess a good first degree, second degree, and a doctorate in Political Science, International Relations, or in a relevant field from a recognised University with at least three (3) years of teaching and research experience since becoming an Assistant Lecturer in a recognised University or comparable institution of higher learning. Evidence of scholarly publications in reputable and high-impact journals and teaching experience from a recognized University will be an advantage.
(iv) ASSISTANT LECTURER (ANUCASS 2): Prospective candidates for this post should normally possess a good first degree and a Master’s degree in political science, international relations, or in a relevant field from a recognised University and must have registered for a Ph.D. programme.
